The I.C.E. Tour had a busy weekend, and kicking it off on Friday night was Sparky and a few of the Ice Girls making their way to Port Jefferson where they skated around with some children at a benefit to help raise money for underprivileged children in the Port Jefferson area. Sparky and the girls took tons of pictures and had a great time to help raise money for a great cause. The following morning, the I.C.E. Tour was back at it with two more events to take part in before the Islanders faced off against the Sabres. The morning started at Bar Beach of Port Washington, where the Slap Shot Booth was on hand for the Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge. Hundreds of brave people jumped into the frigid waters of Hempstead Harbor to help raise money for the Special Olympics and then enjoyed some fun testing their skills at the Slap Shot Booth. After the plunge, the I.C.E. Tour crew headed to Iceworks, where Sparky, the Ice Girls, and the Slap Shot Booth were on hand as the Pro Shop of Iceworks held it’s grand re-opening with some great prices on anything a hockey player may need from skates to tape.
