Chris Campoli traveled for the third consecutive day with the I.C.E. Tour to spend some more time with Islanders fans. Wednesday’s stop was in Commack, where Campoli and the gang paid a visit to the children who are a part of the Smithtown Summer Recreation Program at Hoyt Farm Park Preserve. Chris arrived at the park, which at 9 a.m. was already lined up with campers wearing Islanders hats, shirts, and jerseys. The children then enjoyed three hours of fun in the sun with the young defenseman as he signed autographs with all the children, played some in a game of hockey on the Islanders Xbox 360 video game console, then took on some children in a game of street hockey. The Islanders inflatables were also set up for all the children in attendance to use. During the street hockey games, Chris and his team faced off against his biggest rival during his week with the I.C.E. Tour, Sparky the Dragon and his team of children from the program. “It’s been a lot of fun being back on Long Island and being with the fans,” said Chris. “I’m looking forward to the rest of the week’s stops and getting to play hockey with even more children and inviting them out to a game to root us on.”
