The I.C.E. Tour was in Eisenhower Park Thursday night as part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s annual Light The Night walk. The event, which is held each year, raises funds to support the work of hundreds of the world’s best and brightest researchers in their search for better therapies and cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Despite the cold and wet weather, more than 500 people were on hand. Many of them got a chance to meet Sparky and one of the lovely Ice Girls. All of the inflatable games were set up outside for the children to enjoy as well. “It’s great to see the Islanders supporting so many different charities and to be a part of our special night as well,” said Ashley from Merrick, who was participating in the event.
The I.C.E. Tour will continue to be all over Long Island throughout the season. Check out the community calendar by clicking here to see when they will be in your area next!
