The images coming out of Houston have been heart-wrenching.
The flooding has submerged homes and businesses, families are being displaced and lives are being turned upside down due to Hurricane Harvey. New Yorkers and Long Islanders know first-hand what a hurricane can do to a community and how much is needed in a time of crisis.
That's why the New York Islanders are encouraging you to help the Houston Hurricane Relief Fund.
The American Red Cross and other local organizations supporting relief efforts are asking for monetary donations, food and/or clothing. Everything helps and your donation matters to a family in need in Houston.
See below for how to make a contribution to two organizations that are providing relief for those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
