Dear Friend:

A recent member of our community has been diagnosed with a rare form of aggressive ovarian cancer. Denise G. Delise is a 26-year-old graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). Denise is a fashion designer of modest means. Denise's design styling has been featured in several prominent advertisements. She has worked in the fashion industry for the past five years. She has donated her time working with the Smithtown High School's mentorship program, mentoring students who wish to explore the fashion industry. She wishes to pursue her career and interests further and is determined to beat this disease.

She has had several surgeries already and will need to undergo chemotherapy. She is currently without health insurance. The Denise G. Delise Ovarian Cancer Fund has been created to help her with her future treatments.

Denise has been diagnosed with stage three Serous Carcinoma Ovarian Cancer. It is a rare form of cancer that affects only 10 percent of ovarian cancer patients. There is only a 2 to 4 percent chance of full recovery. Her health and survival is dependent upon clinic trials and chemotherapy.

A fundraiser is being held this weekend, on Oct. 3, to help support Denise in her fight. In helping to raise funds for Denise G. Delise, you are helping to save a life. Every dollar raised will help further Denise’s hope and faith for survival. Thank you in advance for contributing to the Denise G. Delise Ovarian Cancer Fund.
