Over 150 excited Islander fans came out to the Broadway Mall in Hicksville on Tuesday to meet both Bruno Gervais and Nate Thompson.

A long line of supporters formed outside of the Islanders Team Store to meet, take pictures with and receive autographs from the Islander stars.  All fans fourteen and under also had the opportunity to sign up for the Kids Club.

Michelle Cronin and her three children who are all members of the Islanders Kids Club, made the trip to the Broadway Mall all the way from Bellerose, Queens.

"They were really nice guys," Cronin said. "They took pictures with the kids who really enjoyed it.  It's really cool to come out and see the players and it's something they're really excited about."

Tom LoFaso of Levittown came wearing an Islanders cap filled with autographs and pins and said he tries to come to all of these special team events.

"I'm a big fan of Bruno and I'm always happy to come to signings and meet the players and see how they're doing," LoFaso said. "It was cool meeting Gervais and Thompson. I got them to sign my Islanders flag. I'm running out of other things for them to sign."

Thompson and Gervais are back on the Island traveling with the I.C.E Tour all week. They are both happy return and are anxious to being the season.

"It was fun," Gervais said of the signing. "I enjoy coming back to the Island, see the fans, and get excited about next season. My summer has been good so far, it's been too long though. We want to get going, get the season started and return as soon as we can."

Thompson echoed Gervais' sentiments while also mentioning what he's been up to this summer.

"It was good to see the excitement of the fans getting ready for the season," Thompson said. "It's a lot of fun and I'm really looking forward to it. My summer's been great. I've been working out, training hard, and just getting really antsy. I just want the season to start, I'm ready to go."

Gervais believes that having a year under Head Coach Scott Gordon's system will benefit him and all of the returning players.

"To have that year under our belts has helped many of us adapt to the system," Gervais said.  "We've got a few new players coming in also so it's going to be a lot of fun at training camp and the season coming up."

Gervais and Thompson continue their week with the I.C.E Tour on Wednesday at Lawrence Woodmere Academy. The next team store signing is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28 when fans get the opportunity to meet Kyle Okposo and Blake Comeau at the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
