The Islanders and Maple Leafs met at Air Canada Centre in Toronto back on Jan 24. After trailing 3-1 at the end of the first period, the Isles stormed back to win 7-4. Michael Grabner led the way with two goals and an assist, including a shorthanded tally, which sealed the victory. Evgeni Nabokov made 39 saves on 43 shots to earn the win.

Maple Leafs player to watch
Nazem Kadri - Center
The seventh overall pick in the 2009 NHL Draft now looks to be sticking around in the NHL. After a couple of seasons shuffling between the Maple Leafs and their AHL affiliate, Kadri leads the Leafs with 18 points in 21 games and is a huge piece of the puzzle that has Toronto fans talking about the playoffs for the first time since 2004.
Islanders Storylines
•Thursday’s game against Toronto is the third of a seven-game home stand. The Islanders are 0-2-0 so far.
•Thursday will mark the first visit by a Canadian team to the Coliseum this season. The Isles have played four games north of the border so far this year, compiling a 2-1-1 record.
The Islanders hope to keep the winning streak against Toronto in tact. The Isles have won each of their previous two matches against the Leafs and have earned at least one point in three straight.
