The Islanders and Devils last played just three days ago in Newark, with Brad Boyes' overtime winner proving to be the difference in a 5-4 Islanders win. John Tavares (two goals, one assist), Boyes (one goal, one assist) and Frans Nielsen (two assists) each recorded multi-point efforts as the Islanders skated to their second consecutive win. New York went 3-for-4 on the powr play, and the penalty kill held the Devils off the board on all five opportunities.
