Season series (1-2-0)
The Islanders and Devils have already met three times this season, with the road team winning each matchup. The last time the teams met was on Feb. 3, when Johan Hedberg made 22 saves in a 3-0 Devils win. The game was scoreless with four minutes left to play in the third, but the Devils surged late and added an empty netter in the closing seconds to secure victory.

Devils player to watch
Patrik Elias - Left Wing
At 36 years old, Patrik Elias is putting together one of the best seasons of his 17-year career with 15 points (three goals, 12 assists) in 13 games. The Islanders have held the Trebic, Czech Republic native to just one helper in three games, but he has shown the ability to make teams pay in a big way, posting four three-point games already this season.
