GAME NOTES
The New York Islanders look for their third straight win when they host the Dallas Stars on Sunday afternoon at Barclays Center (1 p.m., MSG+).
The Islanders dropped both games against the Stars last season, losing by a combined 10-2 score. The two losses ended a four-year span of Isles dominance over Dallas, as the Islanders were 6-1-1 against the Stars from 2013-17.
The Islanders are currently second in the Metropolitan Division with 22 points, four back of the Columbus Blue Jackets.


ISLANDERS NOTES:

UPDATE: Michael Dal Colle will make season debut for the Islanders. Rest of lineup TBD.
- Matt Martin (upper body) will not play in Sunday's game. Martin has not played since Nov. 1, but has resumed practicing with the team this past week.
- Michael Dal Colle is expected to make his season debut on Sunday, per Head Coach Barry Trotz. Dal Colle had 14 points (7G, 7A) in 14 games to start the season in Bridgeport and was recalled on Thursday.
- Brock Nelson (2G, 4A) and Mathew Barzal (1G, 4A) are riding a four-game point streaks.
- Cal Clutterbuck is riding a two-game scoring streak.
- Luca Sbisa (499 games played) is on the cusp of 500 career NHL games.

STARS NOTES:
  • Tyler Seguin leads Dallas with 17 points (5G, 12A) while Jamie Benn is second with 14 points (7G, 7A). Seguin and Benn have been number one and two in Stars scoring in each of the past five seasons since Seguin arrived in Dallas.
    - John Klingberg, who is third on the Stars with 13 points, is out with an upper-body injury.
    - Dallas is coming off a 1-0 OT win over the Boston Bruins. The Stars are 2-2-1 in their past five games.
    - Ben Bishop is the likely goalie for the Stars on Sunday. Bishop is 7-5-1 this season with a 2.40 GAA and a .920 SV% with two shutouts. Bishop recorded a 23-save shutout in his last outing against Boston.

HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER:

The Islanders are hosting their Hockey Fights Cancer game on Sunday afternoon, raising money and awareness for cancer research.
The team will wear a special lavender jersey during warmups that fans had the chance to bid on in an auction prior to the game. The auction for the jerseys ran from Oct. 18 - Nov. 8 with all of the proceeds benefitting the cancer awareness campaign.
The November 18 Hockey Fights Cancer game will include a ceremonial puck drop that features a group of children that have both overcome their cancer diagnosis' and those that are still battling.
