The Islanders continued their recent dominance over the Red Wings with a wild 5-4 shootout win on Nov. 16. The lead changed hands three times as the teams matched each other goal for goal, but Frans Nielsen ended the game with a backhand in the shootout. Kevin Poulin stopped 19-of-22 shots – and all three shootout attempts – in relief of Evgeni Nabokov, who left the game with a groin injury in the first period.

Kronwall is currently riding a four-game point streak (2g/3a) and is always a threat to deliver a big hit.
