Freddy Meyer continued his journey with the I.C.E. Tour on Thursday morning as he made his way to the Old Bethpage-Plainview Park Summer Recreation Program to visit more than 300 children who are a part of the program. From 9:30am to 11:30am, Freddy was on hand with the rest of the I.C.E. Tour as he signed autographs and took pictures with all of the kids. Sparky the Dragon, all the interactive inflatables, and the prize wheel were also on hand for the children to enjoy. After signing autographs for all the children, Freddy then made his way over to the street hockey area that was set up and played a game with some of the youngsters. They all loved having a chance to play with a real NHL player. “It’s always great to come down and help show some of these kids who have never played hockey all how the game is played and provide them with the opportunity to get familiar with the game,” Meyer said. “Once you put the stick in their hands, you can see their eyes light up with excitement. I hope that they had a great time and would love to see some of their faces in the crowd during the upcoming season.”
