The Islanders Family Fan Fest made their way up to the 5th Annual Oyster Bay Health and Fitness Fair on Saturday to help promote a healthy lifestyle to those who attended, mainly children. Audrey Avenue was lined with tons of booths offering tons of different activities that children can do outside the fair as well to keep them exercising and in shape. Some of these activities included badminton, tennis, basketball, baseball, and of course, hockey! The Islanders slap shot booth was on hand for children to take their best shot at and get them interested into playing hockey more and more. The fair was also filled with numerous booths offering healthy foods and snacks. The street was also filled with music, and who better than to get everyone dancing than everyone’s favorite mascot, Sparky! Along with Sparky were a few of his friends from the Ice Girls. Sparky and the Ice Girls led a few children in the popular “Cotton Eye Joe” dance. The fair was a great way to spend a lovely Saturday afternoon.
