Back Home: The Islanders begin a three-game home stand on Tuesday night. They won their last contest at the Coliseum, beating the Boston Bruins 3-1 on Nov. 2.
Power Play: The Islanders power play went 2-4 against the Montreal Canadiens fourth-ranked penalty kill on Sunday night.
Bridgeport Sound Tigers
The Sound Tigers fell 3-2 to the Hershey Bears on Saturday, losing in a marathon 10-round shootout. Goaltender Anders Nilsson earned the third star of the game, making 37 saves on 39 shots between regulation and overtime. Islanders prospects Joe Diamond and Ryan Strome scored for the Sound Tigers in regulation and the shootout.
Kenny Reiter picked up his first career AHL win as the Sound Tigers rebounded from Saturday’s shootout loss with a 3-2 win over the Adirondack Phantoms on Sunday. Anders Lee and Riley Wetmore combined for three unanswered goals as Bridgeport rallied back from a 2-0 deficit midway through the contest. Lee’s two goals place him in a tie for second in team scoring with 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in 11 games.
On Friday, Nov. 8, the Stockton Thunder defeated the Colorado Eagles 3-2 in overtime. Kirill Kabanov opened up the scoring in the first period with his fourth goal of the season and added an assist later in the contest en route to the third star of the game. Although the Eagles tied the score late in the third period, Andrew Clark scored in overtime to clinch victory for the Thunder. Stockton goaltender Brian Foster made a season-high 36 saves in the win.
Two days after Friday’s overtime win, the Thunder finished their three-game road trip on a high note by defeating the Bakersfield Condors 2-1. Stockton scored the game’s first goal just 46 seconds into the opening period. With a tie game in the third period, Joey Martin scored his first goal of the season giving the Thunder the win. Stockton goaltender Brian Foster made 20 out of 21 saves and improved his record to 5-0-0.

Start and End the scoring against the Fighting Irish
The University of Minnesota visited the University of Notre Dame this past weekend for a pair of games in South Bend. After falling Friday night, Islanders prospects Taylor Cammaratta and Jake Bischoff of the Golden Gophers took the second game 5-4 on Saturday. Cammarata tallied a goal and two assists in the win pushing his season total to nine points (three goals, six assists). Cammarata’s second assist on the night helped Bischoff score the game-winning goal in the third period.
