On Tuesday March 15th Social Sports Kitchen & Lounge hosted their first of six New York Islanders Eat & Greet event. The first Eat & Greet event at Social Sports Kitchen celebrated the 30th anniversary of the first Stanley Cup of the Islanders’ dynasty. For $75, guests were treated to a three course meal prepared by Bravo TV Top Chef contestant Danny Gagnon. The highlight of the night for each guest was the unique one-on-one opportunity to be joined at dinner by New York Islanders legends Mike Bossy and Bobby Nystrom, along with Sparky The Dragon and the Ice Girls. Highlights of the teams first celebration with the Stanley Cup played on the many tv’s as guests packed the Hempstead Turnpike restaurant for a chance to dine with their heroes. Making a special guest appearance was Social Sports Kitchen’s celebrity owner and New York Jets wide receiver Wayne Chrebet.

Due to the overwhelming response from fans Social has decided to host their second event on Tuesday June 29th. For the same $75 ticket fans will receive a three course dinner and will be joined at their tables by current Islanders’ Josh Bailey and Andrew MacDonald. Each guest will also receive a voucher to a 2010-2011 home game, making them among the first on Long Island to secure a seat for the upcoming season. As a thank you to Islanders fans for their year long pre-post game support Social is offering a $15 per ticket discount to anyone who mentions this story when they order their seats. “For $60, the price someone pays to attend a game as is, fans not only get the game ticket, but also get a three course meal prepared by a celebrity chef and the chance to have Josh and Andy sit at their table and ‘hang out’ with them,” declares Social General Manager Rob Vederosa, “this is another a unique opportunity. Celebrating the Cup anniversary with the Hall Of Famers was great and to now have the current players here is really going to be amazing for the younger fans” Seating for these events are very limited and tickets are selling fast.
