The Islanders netminder pays visits to the St. Patrick's Youth Center and the NYI Team Store

With the Islanders not playing for a week between games, it gave players some time to run errands, see friends or take a trip into the City, but for Wade Dubielewicz, he chose to spend his days off in the community.

On Tuesday, Dubie visited the new and improved Islanders Team Store at the Broadway Mall in Hicksville. When Dubie arrived at the mall he was greeted by over one hundred fans eager to get his autograph. Fans young and old came out for a chance to meet the goaltender.

"It was great to see so many fans come down to the store today," said Dubielewicz.

Fans came lined up with a variety of memorabilia for Dubie to sign. From autograph cards, to jerseys, to bobbleheads, Dubie signed them all.

Be sure to visit to see what player will be signing autographs at the team store next month.

The following day, Dubie took a trip to St. Patrick’s Youth Center in Smithtown. Upon arrival, Dubie was immediately surrounded by the youngsters. The children at St. Patrick’s were thrilled that Dubie came out to spend the afternoon with them.

"It is great to be able to meet the young fans of the Islanders," said Dubie. "I am happy I was able to come out and make the day a good one for the kids."
