2 goalies, 9 D and 17 forwards currently in camp

As the Islanders get ready for tonight's preseason game against the Rangers at Madison Square Garden, their current training camp lineup is all the way down to 28 players. Although the organization has yet to make an official announcement on player assignments, this is the pool of 28 players who could see action tonight in the Garden.

The indisputable surprise of the current roster is Brandon Cullen, who played the better part of the last four seasons with Charlotte of the East Coast Hockey League. Cullen has clearly opened the eyes of Ted Nolan and the rest of his staff with his grit and determination.

Reminder: tonight's game can be seen on MSG Network. First-year FSN Islanders color commentator Billy Jaffe is expected to be part of the broadcast.
