Dal Colle, Oshawa Win OHL Title

Michael Dal Colle and the Oshawa Generals are OHL Champions.

The Generals defeated Connor McDavid and the Erie Otters in five games, finishing the series with a 6-2 win on home ice. Dal Colle had two assists in the win, including the secondary assist on Michael McCarron’s game-winner. The Islanders' first-round pick was tied for second in OHL playoff scoring with 31 points (eight goals, 23 assists), including six points (one goal, five assists) in five games vs. Erie.

The Generals’ win marks the 13th J. Ross Robertson Cup in franchise history and punches the team’s ticket to the Memorial Cup, which begins May 22 in Quebec City. Oshawa kicks off the tournament against the Rimouski Oceanic of the Quebec Major Junior Hickey League on May 23 at 4:30 p.m.
