The New York Islanders, in conjunction with the Syosset Chamber, held their first Chef’s Night Out event tonight at Islanders Iceworks, located at 175 Underhill Blvd in Syosset. The event was exclusively for all the businesses that belong to the Syosset Chamber of Commerce. The parking lot at Iceworks was transformed into almost a giant kitchen area that provided booths for all participating restaurants from the Syosset Chamber of Commerce to set up some of their finest food for everyone to sample and enjoy. Over 20 local restaurants were on hand, cooking up some of the finest appetizers, dinners, and desserts for the over 150 guests who attended the event. Along with the food, some portions of the Islanders I.C.E. Tour were also present. The new Islanders RV was on hand and open for all guests to check out. The inflatable slap shot booth was also on hand for everyone to test their best shot on. Also trying some of the delicious food were several of the Ice Girls and of course, Sparky. The night also included a Chinese auction that had over 10 great prizes available, such as gift certificates to local restaurants, spas, and of course, some great autographed Islanders memorabilia. The night was a great success and also for a good cause as portions of the money raised went to the Islanders Children’s Foundation.
