The I.C.E. Tour hopped on the LIE Monday morning and headed out to exit 66 to pay a visit to all our friends at the Brookhaven Country Day Camp. From 10 a.m. to 1p.m., the I.C.E. Tour had a complete set up of all its interactive inflatables for the children to enjoy. Campers ranging in age from 5-years-old to 12-years-old all had a chance to enjoy fun on the inflatables. Also on site for the day was the Islanders RV, which had a special guest waiting inside. Chris Campoli popped out of the RV, signing autographs for all 400 campers. A few of the campers were then treated to something very special that they won’t soon forget—a game of street hockey with Chris himself! Chris and some of the kids faced off against the camp counselors (with Sparky in net) and played an amazing game that ended with Team Campoli defeating the counselors 3-2 in overtime.
"Today was my first day back on Long Island this summer and it was a great way to kick off the week. I got the chance to meet so many kids and the hockey game we played was just really exciting," Campoli said. "It is great to see the kids so pumped to play. I am looking forward to the rest of the week and hopefully seeing all these children again at a game this season."
