Benefit For Foundation Fighting Blindness

by Staff Writer / New York Islanders

On April 13th and 14th, more than 200 players across the country will participate in an NHL tradition, the Ultimate Fantasy Hockey Playoffs Fantasy Draft and Dinner. This will be the event’s 22nd year being held and there are seven participating franchises—the Islanders, Rangers, Devils, Chicago Blackhawks, San Jose Sharks, Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals.

This year’s event will be held on Tuesday, April 14th, Carolines on Broadway, at 1626 Broadway in New York City, at 6 pm. The price to participate is $2,500 per team of four, which includes open premium bar, Fantasy Draft, and gourmet buffet dinner.

The Foundation Fighting Blindness was co-founded by Gordon Gund in 1971, former owner of the San Jose Sharks. The urgent mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness is to drive the research that will provide preventions, treatments and cures for people affected by retinitis pigmentosa (RP), macular degeneration, Usher Syndrome, and the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases.
