Anthony Beauvillier is back in the Blue and Orange.
The Islanders' winger was one of four players, along with Casey Cizikas, Kyle Palmieri and Ilya Sorokin, to be
re-signed by the team as announced on Wednesday morning
.

"I knew it was going to get done," Beauvillier said via Zoom on Wednesday afternoon. "[Islanders President and General Manager Lou Lamoriello] did a great job just keeping everyone together and keeping the same core. I'm very excited to be here. There's nowhere else I'd rather play."
Known for his fun attitude, Beauvillier has grown up in the Islanders' organization. Through the years, his elder teammates have recognized the maturity and individual progression he's made since his rookie season in 2016-17.

The now 24-year-old was drafted in the first round (28th overall) by the club back in 2015, and in the same draft class as his good pal and current teammate Mathew Barzal. With 333-career regular-season games and 49-career playoff games played with the Islanders, Beauvillier has developed with each season and assumed a larger role in the lineup.
"A lot of us have been together a long time," Cizikas said. "You look at guys like Barzal] or [Beauvillier], they're considered the core guys and part of that core group. They've been here for four or five years. You look at [Josh Bailey] who has been here for 13 [years]. [Matt Martin] has been here for a better part of 11 [years]. I'm going into my 10th year here. There's a lot of us that have been together for multiple, multiple years. This is the group that we want to win with. We believe in each other that we can do that."
With the deal finalized, the Sorel-Tracy, Quebec native is enjoying some final days back in the Montreal area before he'll return to Long Island. Upon his eventual arrival back in New York, there's a lot to look forward to with the unveiling of the Islanders' brand-new home at UBS Arena at Belmont Park and a full 82-game slate on deck after playing consecutive abbreviated seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We'll feel like we're back to normal especially in this crazy world and after these crazy last two years," Beauvillier said. "It's definitely nice to have 82 games. I couldn't be more excited about this year, just the new building and the team that we have. Can't be more excited than that."
And true to his optimistic nature, not even a 13-game road trip to start the 2021-22 season could get Beauvillier down.
"It's exciting to start on the road for that long," Beauvillier said. "You get the guys on the road, just go for dinner, play around, play cards together and just spend some time. It starts the season off on the right way. Everyone is excited and everyone is happy. It definitely will be challenging. It's exciting to have that many games in a row to start and get the group together. Everyone is excited to start so it'll be fun to start on the road actually."
As the Islanders look forward to the next and exciting chapter with a state-of-the-art home and the much-anticipated return of facing a full-season's worth of competition, the group itself is locked in.
"I feel like there's unfinished business from the last couple of years that we haven't accomplished our goal," Beauvillier said. "I'm excited to get back and happy to be around."
