DiPietro on OLN Studio Show Tonight

Islanders and United States Olympic Team goaltender Rick DiPietro will be in-studio tonight for OLN's coverage of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. DiPietro will serve as a guest commentator on OLN's brief pre-game show at 8:00 pm EST before Colorado and Anaheim face off in Game 3 of their series. He will also appear during the intermission reports and after the game.

"We really wanted Rick to come in and give us a player's perspective, and specifically a goaltender's point of view," said OLN coordinating producer Mike Baker. "The network is thrilled to have one of the rising stars in the game as part of our studio show. Rick's a young player, but he has playoff experience and he's one of the leaders of the Islanders. This will be a great opportunity for the rest of the country to get to know him a little better."

When OLN came calling, DiPietro was intrigued. After talking it over with Islanders management, it was decided he would give it a try for one night and see how he enjoyed the experience. "I'm still a young player with a lot to learn," said DiPietro, "so it's not like I'm going to go in there and pop off like I'm some kind of expert. My role is to give my perspective on what the goalies may be going through. It should be a good experience for me."

DiPietro will be joined in the studio by host Bill Clement and analyst Keith Jones.
