The "We're All Islanders" School Assembly program, sponsored by Supercuts and Power Grid, crew had a busy holiday week as they made stops at three different schools during the short school week. Arena hostess Dina, along with her sidekick Sparky were at Walnut Elementary in Uniondale on Monday, Mandracchia Saw Mill Intermediate School of Commack on Tuesday, and John H. Boyd Elementary in Greenlawn on Wednesday. Over the course of those three days, Dina and Sparky stood in front of more than 2,000 children, all of whom were treated to a very educational assembly that was also lots of fun.

Dina drew parallels between Garth Snow and each school's principal, as well as explained to the children how their teachers are just like Coach Gordon, while they are like all of the players of the team, constantly working together to bring out the best in each other and reach their goals. A demonstration during the assembly gave the children a great visual of how effective teamwork can be, as a team of three students raced to dress one of their peers in goalie equipment while one teacher––with difficulty––helped another student by himself. Sparky provided some laughs during the program as well, and each child went into their Thanksgiving vacation with a big smile on their face as they walked out of the school, each with a great Islanders gift bag!
