Arnaud Durandeau was recalled by the Islanders on emergency basis on Sunday afternoon. He's a 24-year-old, left-handed winger, standing 6'0, 185 lbs., currently in his fourth season with AHL Bridgeport.

2. HE SCORED THE OT WINNER IN GM 1 VS PROVIDENCE IN THE 2022 AHL PLAYOFFS

Durandeau scored the overtime winner in Game 1 against the Providence Bruins during Bridgeport's playoff run last season. It was Durandeau's first-career AHL playoff goal and his first AHL playoff game-winner. He recorded two points (1G, 1A) in six playoff games as Bridgeport won a playoff series for the first time since 2003.


3. HE PLAYED JUNIOR HOCKEY IN HALIFAX

Durandeau recorded 196 points (85G, 111A) in 262 games with the Mooseheads over four seasons with the team. He set career highs with 38 goals, 35 assists and 73 points in his final season with the team (2018-19) and added 20 points in 23 playoff games that same year.

4. HE PLAYED IN THE QMJHL FINAL AND MEMORIAL CUP FINAL IN 2019

Durandeau and the Mooseheads advanced all the way to the QMJHL Final in the 2018-19 season, before falling to Noah Dobson and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in six games. Durandeau had 20 points (10G, 10A) in 23 playoff games that year, ranking second on Halifax.
Despite losing in the league final, Durandeau and the Mooseheads qualified for the Memorial Cup as the host city. Unfortunately for Halifax, they were defeated by Rouyn-Noranda again, losing in the Memorial Cup Final.


5. HE IS THE FIRST WORCESTER RAILER TO BE RECALLED TO THE NHL

Durandeau played 15 games with the Worcester Railers during the 2019-20 season, making him the first-ever Railer to earn an NHL recall.


6. HE WAS DRAFTED IN 2017

Durandeau was the Islanders sixth-round pick (165th overall) in 2017. He is the eighth player from the sixth round of the 2017 draft to play in the NHL.


7. HE'LL WEAR NUMBER 16
