Saturday, October 14, 2006 and Sunday October 15, 2006 Oyster Festival
The New York Islanders Community patrol took part in the 23rd Annual Oyster Festival in the town of Oyster Bay this past weekend. During this great festival the historic village of Oyster Bay hosts a weekend of family fun with food, rides, and other great festivities such as oyster chucking contests, a arts and craft show, pirate treasure hunts, and ship watching.
This year the Islanders Community Patrol partnered with LIPA. There were fun activities for all to try. The Islanders slapshot booth, fun house mirrors, and plinko game were all set up to entertain fans. LIPA also set up their prize wheel. Various Islander prizes were given away such as pencils, folders, bobble heads, stickers, and waterbottles.
