Other key dates include the three home games against the New York Rangers, which will take place on October 28th, December 17th and March 30th. The Islanders will play host to the New Jersey Devils on January 18th, January 23rd and March 13th.

It’s Opening Night, however, that includes many intriguing storylines. You have the John Tavares era beginning against Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and the Stanley Cup champs. Plus, it will mark the return of former Islanders captain Bill Guerin, who was traded to the Pens this past season.
