Despite the school week being shortened a day by a holiday, the New York Islanders School Assembly Program, presented by the Lighthouse Group, National Grid and Supercuts, was still able to reach out and educate more than 2,000 students this week on the importance of teamwork. Dina and Sparky visited three different schools––May Moore Primary School of Deer Park, PS 84 of Astoria and PS 12 of Woodside. Each school was treated to a very educational and fun-filled assembly about how important teamwork is not only in professional sports, but in everyday life.
