12/7 at LAK Morning Skate Updates

by Greg Picker / New York Islanders
The Islanders visit the Los Angeles Kings tonight in the second game of a five-game road trip. Unlike a normal game day, the Isles held morning skate at the Kings’ practice facility rather than at Staples Center. Here are some news, notes and quotes from today’s skate.

Lineup Notes/Changes:
Kevin Poulin gets the start in goal for the first time in four games. Brock Nelson also returns to the lineup after missing the last three games. Eric Boulton, Radek Martinek and Peter Regin are scratched.

Capuano did not have lines set at today's morning skate.

Capuano: “We’ve given some guys an opportunity and right now it’s not working. We’re still trying different lineup combinations and d-pairings to try and make a few tweaks and get guys on the scoreboard.”

Hickey Returns to LA:
Although he never suited up in a Kings uniform, Thomas Hickey spent five years within the organization that selected him fifth overall in 2007. Tonight he'll play his first game in Los Angeles.

Hickey: "I know the area pretty well and it felt pretty cool to come back. It's always nice seeing the people that you worked with for five years. It'll be fun to play against them tonight."

Kevin Poulin is set to make his 14th start in goal.

Brock Nelson works on his faceoffs with Bob Corkum of the player development staff. Corkum spent 11 seasons in the NHL as a center.
