Florida Panthers forward Jaromir Jagr passed Ron Francis for fourth on the NHL all-time points list in a 4-2 win against the Boston Bruins at BB&T Center on Thursday.

Jagr passed Francis with his 1,799th point when he had an assist on Aleksander Barkov’s power-play goal with 1:20 left in the second period to tie the game 1-1. Jagr reached 1,800 with an assist on Jonathan Huberdeau’s goal at 4:02 of the third period.

Jagr, who has 721 goals and 1,079 assists in 1,549 NHL games, is 50 points behind Gordie Howe for third place all-time.

The 43-year-old, who has played for eight NHL teams, told a Czech newspaper this week he is contemplating signing with the Panthers to play a 22nd NHL season.
