The Calgary Flames have signed defenseman TJ Brodie to a two-year, $4.25 milion contract, the team announced Wednesday.
Brodie, a restricted free agent, played 47 games for the Flames last season, with 14 points (two goals). He also played 35 games for Calgary’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Abbotsford Heat, totaling 20 points.
He was named to the 2011 AHL All-Star Game; that season he was Abbotsford's second-leading scorer and led the Heat with 29 assists.
Brodie, 23, was Calgary's fourth-round pick (No. 114) in the 2008 NHL Draft.
