Martin Jones stops 23 shots as Hitmen blank Hurricanes 4-0

CALGARY - Brandon Kozun had a goal, two assists and goalie Martin Jones stopped all 23 shots he faced as the Calgary Hitmen blanked the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-0 in the lone WHL game on Thursday night.

Brett Sonne scored once and set up another for the Hitmen (9-3-0-0), while Tyler Fiddler and Alex Plante notched their first goals of the season.

For the Hitmen, it was their second victory in two nights at the Pengrowth Saddledome to improve their home-ice record to 8-1 and put them alone in first atop the WHL standings.

Netminder Juha Metsola made 30 saves for the Hurricanes (7-4-0-0) in a losing cause.
