• Mascherin enjoyed a breakout season with the Kitchener Rangers in 2015-16, collecting 35-46—81 in the regular season (65 GP) and 6-6—12 in the playoffs (9 GP). He led the team in assists and shared the club lead in points during the regular season with team captain and Arizona Coyotes prospect Ryan MacInnis (38-43—81).

• Drafted second overall in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection, Mascherin earned OHL Second All-Rookie Team honors after registering 12-17—29 in 2014-15 (62 GP).

• He was named Greater Toronto Hockey League Player of the Year in 2013-14 after posting 67-62—129 in 61 games as captain of the Vaughan Kings minor midget AAA club.

• Internationally, Mascherin played for Canada Red at the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (2-1—3 in 5 GP).
