Winger will be 100 percent ready by start of training camp
RALEIGH, NC—Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, announced today that left wing Ray Whitney underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder this morning. The procedure was performed by Dr. Marty Isbell at Rex Outpatient in Cary.
Whitney’s rehabilitation from the surgery is expected to take approximately three months. He is expected to be 100 percent ready for the start of the Hurricanes 2007 training camp in September.
