Registration Now Open for 18th Annual Kids 'N Community Foundation Golf Tournament

RALEIGH, NC – Registration is now open for the 18th Annual Kids ‘N Community Foundation Golf Tournament presented by BlueStaff/BlueLine Associates. The 2016 tournament will take place at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary on Sept. 19, and will have an 11 a.m. shotgun start.

Carolina Hurricanes players, coaches, broadcasters and management will join each participating foursome. Each registered golfer will receive a gift bag valued at $250, on-course boxed lunch, snacks and beverages, and a tax receipt for participation. Following the tournament, golfers will enjoy a dinner reception where prizes will be awarded to the tournament’s top teams and individual-hole contest winners. Participants also will receive two tickets to a preseason Hurricanes game. Prior to that game, golfers can attend a Thank You reception that will include heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages. With the help of the 2015 tournament raising $40,000, the Foundation awarded $575,000 to 27 different charities and foundations in 2015-16.

The Carolina Hurricanes Kids ‘N Community Foundation provides much-needed funding to children’s charities and education programs throughout North Carolina. The Foundation has funded scholarship programs, youth hockey, educational and literacy efforts, children’s health programs, the arts and other children’s-related initiatives. Annually, the Foundation provides cash and in-kind contributions of more than $1 million to charitable and educational programs in North Carolina. Every member of the Hurricanes organization is actively involved in community activities and the Hurricanes take great pride in the ability to have a positive impact in our state.
