Hello All, I hope everyone is doing well!
As of now the front lawn party is still scheduled to go on. We are monitoring the weather and will post any necessary updates.
Playing on the front lawn will be the Davis Messina Band. They set the tone before Game 4 last series, so here’s to hoping they do it again!
Upon entering the arena, the first 15,000 fans will receive rally towels and game cards. FOR FRIDAY, in addition to the towels and game cards, the first 5,000 fans will receive Caniac Mom buttons. This was well received in ’06.
Bill Cowher will return to sound the siren tonight. Of the 40+ individuals that sounded the siren this year, Cowher was one of the best as he had the crowd going crazy.
We will have face painters before Game 3 & 4. Currently they are scheduled to be on the front lawn but we will switch their location to 108/109 on the concourse if there is inclement weather. If on the front lawn they will be in operation from 5:30-7:15 p.m. If they are moved inside it will be from doors opening until 7:15 p.m.
One closing thought- Make sure you all are in your seats by 7:25 p.m. If you have missed the openings thus far this year, you have to see this (by the looks of it, not many miss it). The noise level, energy and excitement in the RBC Center when the team takes the ice is incredible. I have seen it on many occasions, but every time the team takes the ice I am covered in goose bumps and look up in awe at the Caniacs in the RBC Center. CanesVision’s open on the jumbotron begins right around 7:25 p.m. and the build up continues with new videos, the warning siren and then the team stepping on the ice.
Hope you all are having a good day and I look forward to seeing everyone tonight.
