Playoff hockey in Raleigh, NC. Where does one begin? Each time the Canes make the playoffs I really enjoy listening to and reading the various perspectives from our fans, players and local media. Though there are common themes, everyone has a unique and different memory that is special to them. Here’s to those memories and new ones in 2009!
A few quick notes on the playoffs from a promotions and fan development perspective:
There will be a front lawn party with every home game. Sunday is looking like an excellent day weather wise. RBC Center parking lots will open at 2:30 p.m.
On the way into the building the first 15,000 fans will receive rally towels and game cards.
We are working on some special guests to join Stormy for the Hurricanes Warning Siren.
The blog beard-off is off to a strong start. In what was looking like a two horse race between Warf and Sundheim, is quickly becoming at least a three horse race (I will let Branecky speak for himself). But my “beard,” while it may not be great, is much stronger then anticipated and I am looking for an upset!
I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday. Our team. OUR HOUSE!
