McElhinney will make first start since Oct. 20

ST. LOUIS - The Carolina Hurricanes' four-game road trip shifts to St. Louis, where the Blues are in the midst of a season-long, seven-game homestand.

The Canes are looking to bounce back from their first shutout loss of the season on Saturday night in Vegas, and Curtis McElhinney is will make his first start in net since Oct. 20.

"We needed to get him in there and give him a look," head coach Rod Brind'Amour said after the morning skate. "He's earned the start. He's been good for us. Hopefully he can give us a little spark."
