RALEIGH, NC. -Forward Jordan Martinook will not play for the Carolina Hurricanes Friday night, ruled out after suffering an injury Thursday night in Toronto.

The veteran went down awkwardly in the corner, leaving the game during the third period last night. Rod Brind'Amour did not have an update as of pre-game availability regarding how long #48 could be out, he was just made aware that he would not be an option for this evening.
This opens the door for Seth Jarvis to re-enter the lineup. Jarvis had been dealing with a bit of a hip issue as of last Saturday, missing the team's three games since.
While it was not revealed exactly where Jarvis would play, Brind'Amour also said "maybe" when asked if he'd be trying some different things up front tonight. For the sake of the below, the rookie is just listed in the spot where Martinook played Thursday.
On defense, there was no update regarding Tony DeAngelo and the right-handed defender was a game-time decision last night.
In net, Antti Raanta is expected to take his turn in the rotation after Frederik Andersen played last night against his former club. Raanta is 4-1-1 in his last six starts, with his only regulation loss including two goals against in Pittsburgh on Sunday.
