MEDIA HAS OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE AN EARLY LOOK AT THEMED GATHERING PLACE BEFORE HURRICANES GAME VS. RANGERSRALEIGH, NC (Nov. 2, 2001) -
The Entertainment & Sports Arena today announces the opening of its theme gathering place, “The Deck,” presented by Colony Homes.
The Deck, which is located on the main concourse level of the ESA between sections 110 and 114, will be open for tonight’s Carolina Hurricanes game against the New York Rangers. However, the media will be able to tour The Deck from 5-6 p.m., one hour before it officially opens.
The Deck, which can accommodate 300 people, will feature food and beverage table service in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. The menu will emphasize big sandwiches and half-pound burgers and a wider beverage selection, thus filling a niche between the general concession stands and the Arena Club’s fine dining. The Deck will be open one hour prior to the event’s start time. The food and beverage service will continue throughout the game, and The Deck will remain open at least one hour after the conclusion of the game/event.
Anyone with a lower bowl or club level ticket will have access to The Deck before and during the game. Access will be open to anyone after the game. The deck will be open under the same guidelines for most North Carolina State University games, although the sale of alcohol is restricted during college events.
Colony Holmes Division President Ron Peiffer will be available for interviews concerning his company’s sponsorship. He will be at The Deck during the special media preview, or you can contact Susan Harp with Colony Homes at (919) 872-0092, ext. 211.
