HURRICANES TO HOST GAME 3 ON SATURDAY, JUNE 8

NEW YORK (May 29, 2002) -- The 2002 Stanley Cup Finals will begin Tuesday, June 4, when the Eastern Conference champion Carolina Hurricanes visit the winner of Friday's seventh and deciding game in the Western Conference Final between the Colorado Avalanche and Detroit Red Wings, the National Hockey League announced today.

Exclusive national television coverage of the Stanley Cup Finals in the United States will be provided by ABC Sports (Games 3 through 7) and ESPN (Games 1 and 2). The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) will carry all games for viewers in Canada, with French-language coverage by SRC.

NHL Radio will broadcast every game of the Stanley Cup Finals on over 150 stations across North America.
