First Glance at the New Faces: Tonight's contest will allow fans to see several of the team's offseason acquisitions in a Hurricanes game sweater (on-ice) for the first time.
Jesperi Kotkaniemi, exactly one month to the day after being tendered his offer sheet with the team, is one individual that falls into the aforementioned group. Joined by the likes of Frederik Andersen, Ian Cole and Derek Stepan, several will have their first opportunity to make their first impression.
Year Four of the Brind'Amour Era:Reigning Jack Adams Award Winner Rod Brind'Amour enters his fourth season at the helm of the club, additionally beginning his three-year contract extension that he inked in June. In 12 total games the Canes are 7-3-2 under Brind'Amour in the preseason.
