GAME NIGHT:
The Carolina Hurricanes return to the road for a one-game trip to Dallas. The Hurricanes defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday to extend their home unbeaten streak to six games (4-0-2). The Hurricanes have lost just twice in their last nine games overall (5-2-3). Through Nov. 19, Carolina had played two more games than any other team in the NHL (24 games).

CAROLINA NOTES:
Carolina’s top scoring line of Jeff O’Neill, Ron Francis and Sami Kapanen is one of the top scoring lines in the NHL this season, totaling 65 points (28g, 37a) through 24 games. O’Neill was second in the league in goals (14) and was tied for third in the NHL in scoring (23 points) through Nov. 19. Francis (3g, 17a) was tied for first in the league in assists (17). Kapanen (11g, 11a) was tied for eighth in the league in scoring and 12th in goals. Carolina goaltender Tom Barrasso was ranked fourth in the NHL in goals against average (1.86) and save percentage (.932) through Nov. 19.

CAROLINA / DALLAS SERIES:
The Carolina Hurricanes and the Dallas Stars meet for the second of two matches this season. The Hurricanes shutout the Stars 3-0 in their first meeting on Oct. 7 in Raleigh. Carolina defeated Dallas in the two teams’ only meeting last season, a 5-2 win on Oct. 10, 2000. Carolina is 22-30-5 all-time against the Stars franchise, including a 12-14-4 record at home and a 10-16-1 record away from home.

DALLAS NOTES:
The Dallas Stars are 7-7-4-3 this season as they continue to adjust to sweeping off-season changes. New faces in the Dallas lineup include Donald Audette (4g, 8a), Pierre Turgeon (4g, 4a), Pat Verbeek (1g, 4a) and former Hurricane Rob DiMaio (1g, 4a).
