The Carolina Hurricanes hosted draft selections and invitees in Raleigh for their annual Prospects Development Camp from June 25-29.

The Canes' 2019 Prospects Development Camp roster consisted of 26 players, including 12 forwards, seven defensemen and seven goalies. Nine players selected by the Hurricanes in the 2019 NHL Draft attended, including first-round pick Ryan Suzuki.

Below are some videos and photos from a week of summer hockey action.

Want to HEAR what's going on during skates? CanesVision has you covered - they mic'd up dev camp veteran Matt Filipe for an on-ice session.

But development, after all, also happens off-ice - and we're not talking about another workout.

Following time trials, the fastest drivers from each heat competed in one final race. Camp invitee and Cary native Nick Hale topped the leaderboard and took home the pride of a race well run.
