RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has assigned goaltender Petr Mrazek to the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves on a conditioning stint. Forward Max McCormick has also been assigned to Chicago.

Mrazek, 29, has played four games with Carolina this season, posting a 2-1-0 record with a 0.99 goals-against average, .955 save percentage and two shutouts before missing the last 29 games following right thumb surgery. The 6'1", 191-pound goaltender has posted a 46-31-5 record with a 2.48 goals-against average, .911 save percentage and nine shutouts in 84 games with the Hurricanes from 2018-21. He is 124-95-28 with a 2.60 goals-against average, .911 save percentage and 23 shutouts in 267 career NHL games with Detroit, Philadelphia and Carolina. Mrazek has played 87 career AHL games with Grand Rapids from 2012-15, posting a 54-27-4 record with a 2.21 goals-against average, .920 save percentage and seven shutouts. The Ostrava, Czech Republic, native was drafted by the Detroit in the fifth round, 141st overall, of the 2010 NHL Draft. He was signed by Carolina as a free agent on July 1, 2018.
McCormick, 28, has skated in two NHL games this season. He has registered 10 points (4g, 6a) in 73 career NHL games with Ottawa and Carolina from 2015-21. The 6'0", 183-pound forward has played 335 career AHL games with Binghamton, Belleville, Colorado and Charlotte, earning 168 points (79g, 89a). The De Pere, Wis., native was drafted by Ottawa in the sixth round, 171st overall, of the 2011 NHL Draft. He was signed by Carolina as a free agent on July 25, 2019.
