Matt Cullen Activated from Injured Reserve

Hurricanes center eligible to play tonight against Tampa Bay
RALEIGH, NC—Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, announced today that the team has activated center Matt Cullen from injured reserve. Cullen, who has missed the team’s last seven games with a head injury, is eligible to play in tonight’s game against TampaBay.
Cullen, 31, has scored 13 goals and earned 36 assists (49 points) in 57 games for Carolina this season, ranking second on the team in assists (36) and tied for fourth on the team in points (49). In 728 career NHL games with Anaheim, Florida, Carolina and the New York Rangers, the Virginia, MN, native has totaled 131 goals and 239 assists (370 points).
