RALEIGH, NC. -With 13 points in his last 15 games, Carolina Hurricanes forward Jesperi Kotkaniemi joined us as the special guest for this week's Segra Mailbag.

(Note: Some questions have been edited for clarity.)
If you could meet one person, past or present, who would it be? - @calicoskatts
Roger Federer.
Why him?
He's a pretty legendary athlete. I could learn a couple of things about tennis and his mindset on the sport.
What's the biggest change you've made to your game from last year to this year? - @CanesStats
I didn't really change much, to be honest. I'm trying to do the same things, I think I just got a little stronger over the summer and I think that is getting along with my body a little better this year.
What went into the decision to try to get stronger?
I'm only 22, so I still have a lot of room to grow. That's it, really.
What has surprised you the most since becoming a Hurricane? - @ArcherForCanes
The city and the fan base.
When you come here as a player on the visiting team, you don't see much. All you see is the hotel and the rink. I was just talking with Skjeisy about this yesterday, actually. When you don't know anything about the city or the people here, and then you play here, you're like, "wow." It feels like home every day. It's pretty unbelievable. I don't stress about anything and I think that's been a great thing.
What was your favorite moment from the Stadium Series? - @\_2022alexa
The national anthem, when the planes were going over and everything. It was a pretty cool moment that I bet all of us will remember for the rest of our lives.

How did you really feel about leaving Montreal? - @krisinovak
It felt great to get a new opportunity (with the Canes). I was excited to get to play with a bunch of Finnish guys here and be a part of the culture with them. Of course, there are people in Montreal that I miss. It was a good three years there, but I'm really happy to be here.
Now that you're here with the Finnish guys (Aho, Puljujarvi, Raanta, Teravainen), what's your favorite aspect of it?
You can converse with anyone in English, but sometimes you just need to feel like home. And as Finns, we get to do that. We get to talk about how things are back home and other things. It helps.
What teammate was the hardest to say goodbye to, whether it was when you left Montreal or when someone left the Canes? - @genoisscore71
Probably Joel Armia in Montreal.
We're from the same hometown and we were really close. He lived right underneath me so we'd hang out every day and we had a good bond.
Favorite Canes uniform to wear? - @BillyFellin / @K0TKAN1EM1
I like the red ones that we are wearing this year. They look good.
What's your favorite music to listen to? - @calicoskatts
I'm not a big music guy, but you know what, that song from the World Cup, "Waving Flag" by K'NAAN, I've been listening to that a lot.
What's your favorite road city? - @iTweetThings67
I like Vancouver. It's got good restaurants and I enjoy nature, the mountains, water and fresh air.
What's your coffee order? - @katepsychlaw
Either a latte or a cappuccino, it depends on what time of day it is. I actually like to make coffee after dinner. If we finish dinner around 8 p.m. I'll have a cappuccino.
What's your favorite thing about Seth Jarvis? - @thedailykaily
*Laughs]*
You're never going to have a boring moment with him. He's just naturally so dumb, so whatever he says or does is funny.
