Individual-game tickets for Round One on-sale at 10 a.m. Saturday

RALEIGH, NC – Matt West, Vice President of Business Operations for the Carolina Hurricanes, announced today that Hurricanes ticket sales representatives will be available to take deposits on 2006-07 season tickets on Saturday, April 8, beginning at 8 a.m., in the RBC Center’s VIP lobby. Placing a deposit for 2006-07 tickets will give customers the last-minute opportunity to purchase playoff strips for the first and second rounds of the 2006 Stanley Cup Playoffs before the 10 a.m. on-sale to the general public.

“Our season-ticket holders have taken full advantage of their playoff priority in purchasing playoff strips,” said West. “We may have fewer that 3,000 tickets available to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday, and therefore wanted to give folks one more chance to commit to next season, and ensure their same seat at the RBC Center throughout the 2006 playoffs.”

The RBC Center’s VIP lobby is adjacent to the box office on the south side of the building, closest to Carter-Finley Stadium. Playoff strips consist of tickets to each potential Hurricanes home game during the first and second round of the playoffs, and have been available to season-ticket holders and mini-plan holders based on priority since March 1.

The Carolina Hurricanes face the Washington Capitals at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC, on Friday (7 p.m., FSN South, Hurricanes Radio Network) before traveling to Atlanta for a Saturday evening meeting with the Thrashers (7 p.m., FSN South, Hurricanes Radio Network). The Hurricanes return to the RBC Center on Tuesday to face the New Jersey Devils, and will play host to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday, April 14. Tickets for all Hurricanes games at the RBC Center can be purchased at the RBC Center box office, all TicketMaster outlets, by calling 919-834-4000 or via Tickets to the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs will go on sale to the general public on April 8 at 10 a.m..
