‘Canes players and staffers to help raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research
RALEIGH, NC—Doug Warf, Manager of Community Relations for the Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that several players and staff memebers will participate in the sixth annual Jimmy V Celebrity Junior Golf Classic presented by the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday, June 18 at Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh.
Hurricanes players Craig Adams, Cam Ward and Glen Wesley, Associate Head Coach Kevin McCarthy, Assistant Coach Jeff Daniels, Vice President and Assistant General Manager Jason Karmanos, television play-by-play voice John Forslund and team personality Ron “The Ref” Biscotti, will play alongside youth golfers in an effort to raise between $50,000 and $75,000 for pediatric cancer research. Former Hurricanes players Bates Battaglia and Aaron Ward will also participate in the event.
