HURRICANES’ WESLEY TO MAKE APPEARANCE AT CAMP KALEIDOSCOPE

RALEIGH, NC (July 18, 2000) – Glen Wesley of the Carolina Hurricanes will visit the Graham Camp as part of Duke Children’s Hospital’s Camp Kaleidoscope on Thursday, July 20, at 9:45 a.m. The defenseman has taken part in the camp, located at Kerr Lake in Henderson, N.C., since 1998.

Camp Kaleidoscope, which was started in 1980, provides a typical camping experience for chronically ill children who receive medical care at Duke Children's Hospital. Members of the hospital’s medical team fulfill the role of camp counselor for the children who participate in camp activities such as swimming, fishing, and canoeing.

DIRECTIONS TO GRAHAM CAMP

From Raleigh, Take 40 West to US 1 North to I-85 North

Exit 220 – Fleming Road is the first exit after US 1 North runs into I-85 North

Exit the ramp and an Exxon will be on the left

Turn right and then right again to go under the interstate

Chex truck stop will be on the right

Go three miles on Fleming Road

Turn left at Girl Scout Camp sign (Regional Water Lane)

Turn left about a third of a mile down the road at the Camp Graham mail box
